Job Description

 To access all the CCU patients daily and to ensure that they are receiving appropriate Medical Care

To ensure that patients condition is communicated correctly to the relatives and all their queries are answered appropriately

To help the Sr. Resident & Resident manage critically ill patients in CCU

To work collectively with the Nursing Incharge to bring about quality improvement in the

To help the Director/Head Cardiology in administrative issues regarding the department.

To create an ideal learning in the department where each RESIDENT & SRESIDENT can get a chance to improve upon his/her clinical skills.

To ascertain the strict implementation of various working protocols like BLS, ACLS and infection control.

To assist the consultants for the Peripheral OPD/ Camps

To carry out regular procedures such as CART, PTCA, Pacemaker insertion, Balloon Vasectomy

To prepare the patients reports regularly (Min thrice a week)

To contribute to the organization on the Academic front as well

To remain on Call during the night.

Treat patients and perform clinical procedures as per the clinical privileges authorized.

Assisting senior consultants and consultant in managing OPD, IPD & Emergencies patients.

Doing the medical procedure as per the consultant doctors advice/supervision after getting the consent from patients attendant.

Accompany consultant doctors on IPD Ward visits.

Monitoring the progress of the patients.

Check the diet chart, medicine chart, vitals chart frequently.

Maintaining good relationship with staff, patients and their attendants

To ensure that patients condition is communicated correctly to the relatives and all their queries are answered appropriately

Reporting to the duty in time as per the roster

Strictly adhering to the medical ethics & management rules & regulations.

To work collectively with the Nursing In charge to bring about quality improvement in the department.

To ascertain the strict implementation of various working protocols like BLS, ACLS and infection control.

Attending the training programmes and CMEs as and when required.

Any other tasks assigned by the HOD/ management from time to time.
