Clinical Quality and Patient Safety
Drives patient safety and clinical quality culture in the unit.
Oversee the clinical governance framework in the Hospital and
establishes standards of practice to ensure compliance with relevant state clinical statutory and regulatory requirements.
Introduce systems to manage clinical risk including risk scoring,
medical and system audits.
Design and manage clinical performance across the Unit.

Support and advise regarding inducting best clinical talent in the unit
Drives leadership development and succession planning to identify,
groom and develop high potentials for key leadership positions.
Responsible for ensuring proper performance assessment system for clinicians in accordance with the organisation standards.
Drive appropriate credentialing and privileging practices to enhance
the quality of clinical services.
Ensure all performance metrics as per the standards of the
organisation are implemented.
Establishes talent development programmes in partnership with the
Facility Director to build robust talent pipelines.
Responsible for ensuring compliance to all credentialing and
privileging guidelines along with the Head, Human Resource.
Engage with senior clinicians to ensure their ownership and complete
involvement in all matters related to the unit.
Develop relationships to ensure participation of senior clinicians in
business decisions along with clinical inputs.
Formulate a robust clinician engagement programme in the Unit.
Compliance, Audit and Accreditation
Drives accreditation processes in the unit and ensures that all
clinicians adhere to the compliances as per the accreditation
standards in conjunction with the Facility Director.
Responsible for implementing and monitoring all clinical processes
related to accreditation standards.
Liaise with accreditation bodies and ensure timely assessments.
Responsible for ensuring all processes are followed in lab as per the
laboratory accreditation standards; drive lab accreditation in the unit.
Drives professionalism and alignment with professional standards
including the Fortis Good Medical Practice Guidelines.
Manages and resolves medical staff disciplinary issues.
Facilitate conflict resolution in conjunction with the Facility Director
and other Heads of Department.
Education & Research
Supervise and monitor the development of post graduate and clinical fellowship programmes.
Ensure that all postgraduate and clinical fellowship programmes are
run as per protocols and norms.

Plan and oversee the implementation of multidisciplinary care
Delivery models for clinicians in conjunction with the Regional Medical Director.

Advise on manpower and other infrastructure requirements before
the implementation of any new medical programme.

Business and Strategic Planning
Actively participates in the strategic planning process of the hospital.
Responsible for organising and analysing historic clinical inputs to help in process of planning and strategising.
Contribute to the planning of business and service plans as part of the management team.
